about

'Whack-a-Mole' examines the consequences of the ‘endless war’ that the U.S. has essentially been in since World War II. The title comes from a U.S. military euphemism to describe insurgency forces, like those encountered during the Iraq War, that it clears from an area only to find those forces have returned shortly after the U.S. troops leave the region.

Special thanks to choreographer Carl Flink and all at Black Label Movement.

Performed by BLM at the Cowles Center for Dance, Minneapolis, June 2013.
